What's this all about?

Hello and welcome to my blog! For those who don’t know me, My name is George and I am a Politics student trying to kickstart this politically based opinion blog. I’m going to be giving my views on what’s been going on in the world and hopefully uploading a new blog weekly (Friday’s is the aim currently).

Now, with the basic information outlined, I can already see eyes being rolled. What gives me the right to discuss anything even vaguely related to current political and global affairs? Afterall, I’m just a young leftie politics student: aren’t they made by the dozen these days?

To be fair, nothing really gives me the right to discuss these topics at all, nothing really gives anyone the right to discuss these topics but hey, we do it anyway. Why? Because all we can do is extrapolate from out own experiences and give our own two cents on what it is we see. Fundamentally, we all want to see the world be a better place, so what’s the harm in having another voice shouting into the wilderness, ay? It’s not like anyone can agree on any one source for political news or information in any case, and with mainstream media becoming increasingly untrustworthy to the general populous, why not have a read? You never know, you may even like some of it.

If you don’t like it, you can dismiss me for the arrogant arse wipe I probably am; but if you do like it, why not hang around a while ay, friend?
